This week's Foodie Friday is a big one. It's the beginning of the 2012 James Beard Foundation Awards (JBF) weekend. Yeh!
For all you foodies out there you know winning a James Beard Award is like winning an Oscar in the food world. Tonight I and my fellow James Beard Broadcast and New Media committee members will join the JBF at a dinner to award the nominees in the James Beard Foundation Book, Broadcast & Journalism category (I will have a full report next week). It is going to be a weekend of eating and greeting, ending with a food finale at the James Beard Gala event at Avery Fisher Hall on Monday, May 7 with Master of Ceremonies Food Network Star Alton Brown. Of course I am running around trying to figure out what to wear but will give you a look inside JBF and it's many events. Lets start at the the house in New York's Greenwich Village.
