The Week Ahead: Launching A YouTube Channel | Books Case TV For Young Adults

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! You know once Labor Day is over  it's time to gear up for television's fall show premieres.  As the latest daytime and nighttime shows hit the airwaves, I want you to pay close attention to your favorite programs to spot how social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and even YouTube, have worked their way into the programming for the new season.

As for the Ready4Air look ahead this week here we go.

Suncera Johnson, CEO amass digital

This week as part of our summer series, "Tell Me...How Did You Get Into Social Media?," we'll hear from Suncera Johnson, CEO of amass digital.  Johnson has her pulse on social media and content at amass digital where she says,  "I oversee and steer various aspects of the Digital Life Cycle for my clients.  Simply put, I assist people in the digital space with development, production, promotion and advertising of digital content.  Social media plays a crucial role in getting eyes on the content.

Currently, we service JAY Z’s Life+Times and LIVES with Meredith Vieira, both You Tube Channels, in the capacity of Digital PR, in addition to overseeing social media strategy for Meredith’s You Tube Channel, to be launched on September 9th, with a few more clients in negotiations to be added to our roster."

Later in the week, I'll continue the social media and content conversation with a post about second screen syndrome and successful ways producers can incorporate social platforms effectively when planning their television shows.

Finally, Book Case TV is back tonight with a line up of authors who are writing for the young adult audience. This episode is entitled "Still Young at Heart" and  book investigator and host Frederic Colier a.k.a Frank Debonair sits down with authors including Michelle Tea and  Heather Terrell.

Also featured is N.E.R.D.S series writer Michael Buckley who has found an audience for young boys and girls with his science themed books. Buckley tells Frank Debonair why he's a big kid at heart.   Debonair also chats with special effects designer Mark Woods who makes an appearance with his charming monster, Gugor, from The Creatures Department book written by Robert Paul Weston.

I won't give everything away, so you'll have to tune in to find out which young adult authors are chosen for The Pick of the Week.  If you have kids, know anyone with kids or you're just a big kid then tonight's show is a fun one.

Tune in to NYC Life Channel 25 at 9:30PM EST to get more from these amazing writers.
