MEDIA EXPERTS “HOOK UP” TO LAUNCH THE BLOGGER CONNECTION
Online Marketing Leaders Combine Diverse Multimedia Experience to Form Social Media Agency That Connects Bloggers and Brands
New York, NY, April 30, 2012 -- Offering a spectrum of opportunities for bloggers and brands to work together in social media, online marketing leaders Rachel Ferrucci and Deborah J. Mitchell jointly announced the launch of The Blogger Connection (TBC), an agency currently serving a network of more than 6,000 bloggers and online personalities.
The turnkey services offered by The Blogger Connection include customized blogger outreach campaigns and brand awareness programs ideal for corporations eager to leverage specific markets within the blogger community. Twitter parties, which are strategic, interactive online discussions combined with product giveaways, is a particular niche in which the pair, who met at a blogger panel discussion about women and social media, will specialize.
“The blogger community is diverse, to say the least, but what they tend to have in common is a fierce passion for chosen topics; brands able to tap into those passions can be quite successful,” says Ferrucci, who has educated companies and political groups on blogger outreach and how to create timely, effective, and lasting content on various media platforms since 2008. “From fashion to food to politics and more – no matter the blogger genre – The Blogger Connection is well-equipped to boost brand awareness and drive traffic to brand sites.” In addition to her work as a brand evangelist and social media liaison, Ferrucci has served as speaker coordinator for the 2010 Evo Conference, a gathering for “bloggers, businesses, and social media junkies at all levels” and consults for multiple companies that cater to dynamic online communities.
The Blogger Connection will also provide business development services to its blogger membership, including media coaching, TV placement, and more. “My background in television production and on-air talent management, combined with Rachel’s early adoption of and successful track record in social media, puts us in a position to offer unparalleled support to those who want to take their blogs and online personalities to the next level, as well as to brands that wish to fully optimize their social media strategy,” adds Mitchell.
Mitchell’s transition from producing traditional national television expanded into the creation of Deborah Mitchell Media Associates in 2010. With an emphasis on preparing talent for on-air and generating story and promotional ideas, Mitchell currently serves as a consultant for former CBS news personality and blogger Rene Syler’s GoodEnoughMother.com. A member of the James Beard Foundation Broadcast and New Media Awards Committee, Mitchell recently contributed her skills to the 2012 Shorty Awards, connecting show producers with appropriate brands for sponsorship opportunities and personalities.

The Buzz about The Blogger Connection:
"I recently had the opportunity to work with Rachel and The Blogger Connection on a social media program for my work as a criminologist and media analyst, and to promote my book Mass Deception: Moral Panic and the US War on Iraq. TBC designed and implemented a unique, highly entertaining "who-dunit" mystery game and an exciting Twitter party to celebrate the winners of the two-week promotional event. The entire program ran flawlessly, resulting in significantly increased traffic to my website and generating an immediate spike in book sales. I give TBC my highest recommendation."

"TV/Social Media Producer Deborah ‘Debbie’ Mitchell was a big help to us for the 4th Annual Shorty Awards. Her experience in both social media and entertainment helped us think about how we could grow the show. She was able to connect us with Bravo TV executive, personality and Twitter expert Andy Cohen who provided us with an amazing video message that we used to promote the date of the ceremony and ticket sales. I look forward to working with Debbie in the future and there is no doubt that her future projects will be a success."
~ Natan Edelsburg, Supervising Producer at Shorty Awards and Vice President at Sawhorse Media
“We worked with The Blogger Connection to promote an online contest component of a national television advertising campaign for one of our websites, MyEducation.com. Through a combination of engaging sponsored blog posts and Twitter outreach, we were able to leverage the ‘mommy blogger’ community we had endeavored to target. We will definitely use TBC again for future promotions.”
